Choice function
Definition
Let be a set of nonempty sets. A choice function on is a function such that for each .
Remarks
For a finite set , a choice function exists without any axiom of choice. For the set of nonempty subsets of , the function that sends each subset to its least element is a choice function. The axiom of choice says that each set of nonempty sets has a choice function.
Explanations

Think of as a collection of boxes, none empty. A choice function names one object in each box. Sometimes a rule gives it, such as "take the smallest number".
What this node needs for W2
- edge instance_of in: one example (0 of 1)
- edge not_instance_of in: one non-example that fails one clause (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
