Clohessy–Wiltshire equations
Summary
The Clohessy–Wiltshire equations describe the motion of a chaser spacecraft relative to a target on a circular orbit, when the two are close. They are linear with constant coefficients, so they can be solved in closed form. They are the standard model for rendezvous, docking and formation flying. See the definition.
