statement proposition

Closure is closed

Statement

Let XX be a topological space and let S⊆XS \subseteq X. Then the closure S‾\overline{S} is a closed set of XX.

Remarks

Proof: S‾\overline{S} is an intersection of closed sets, and each intersection of closed sets is closed. It follows that S‾‾=S‾\overline{\overline{S}} = \overline{S}.

Explanations

L1 human

The closure is built as an intersection of closed sets, and such an intersection is again closed.

What this node needs for W1
  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.
