Encoding of data
Summary
An encoding of a set of objects, such as numbers, graphs or programs, writes each object as a string over a finite alphabet. Different objects get different strings. Machines read and write only strings, so an encoding is what lets them work on other objects. A Gödel numbering is the related idea of coding objects by natural numbers. In complexity theory the choice of encoding matters, since the input size is the length of the code.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
