Flag manifold

Summary

A flag manifold is a quotient G/PG/P of a connected complex semisimple Lie group GG by a parabolic subgroup PP. The basic example is the space of complete flags V1⊂V2⊂⋯⊂Vn−1V_1 \subset V_2 \subset \cdots \subset V_{n-1} of subspaces of ℂn\C^n with dim⁡Vi=i\dim V_i = i. Projective spaces and Grassmannians are flag manifolds too. Flag manifolds are compact complex manifolds on which GG acts, and they carry the geometry behind the Borel–Weil theorem and Schubert calculus.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)
