Free distributive lattice

Summary

The free distributive lattice on a set SS is the distributive lattice generated by SS with no extra relations. The only equalities in it are those that the lattice laws and distributivity force. Every map from SS into a distributive lattice extends to exactly one lattice homomorphism from it. Unlike the free lattice on three or more generators, the free distributive lattice on a finite set is finite. On nn generators it has M(n)−2M(n) - 2 elements, where M(n)M(n) is the Dedekind number.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
