Harish-Chandra module

Summary

A Harish-Chandra module is the algebraic shadow of a representation of a real reductive group GG. It keeps the vectors that transform in a finite way under a maximal compact subgroup KK. On them it keeps the actions of KK and of the complexified Lie algebra 𝔤\mathfrak g, and it forgets the topology. Harish-Chandra showed that an admissible representation is determined, up to a natural equivalence, by its Harish-Chandra module. This turns questions about infinite-dimensional representations into questions of algebra.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
