Homotopy equivalence
Summary
A homotopy equivalence is a continuous map that has an inverse up to homotopy. This is a map with homotopic to and homotopic to . It is a weaker notion than a homeomorphism. Homotopy invariants, such as the fundamental group and homology, cannot distinguish spaces that are related by a homotopy equivalence.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
