statement proposition

Interior is open

Statement

Let XX be a topological space and let S⊆XS \subseteq X. Then the interior int⁡S\operatorname{int} S is an open set of XX.

Remarks

Proof: int⁡S\operatorname{int} S is a union of open sets, and each union of open sets is open by the axioms of a topology. It follows that int⁡(int⁡S)=int⁡S\operatorname{int}(\operatorname{int} S) = \operatorname{int} S.

Explanations

L1 human

The interior is made by putting together open sets, and open sets put together give an open set.

What this node needs for W1
  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a node is. They do not measure its truth.

What depends on this

1 node uses this node, directly or through other nodes.
