Semiautomaton as a unary algebra
Example
A semiautomaton is a triple with a set of states and a set of input letters . The map is the transition function. For each letter put . Then each maps to , so is a unary algebra with index set . Conversely, a unary algebra gives the semiautomaton with , so the two notions are the same data.
Concretely, let and , with the identity of and the map that swaps and . Reading a binary word moves the state according to the parity of the number of letters read so far.
Under this translation, a homomorphism of unary algebras is a map of states that commutes with every transition. A subalgebra is a set of states closed under all transitions. A congruence is an equivalence of states compatible with all transitions. A deterministic finite automaton is a finite semiautomaton with a start state and a set of accepting states added.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
