Stratified

Summary

A formula of set theory is stratified if and only if there is a function σ\sigma which sends each variable appearing in ϕ\phi (considered as an item of syntax) to a natural number (this works equally well if all integers are used) in such a way that any atomic formula x∈yx \in y appearing in ϕ\phi satisfies σ(x)+1=σ(y)\sigma(x)+1 = \sigma(y) and any atomic formula x=yx = y appearing in ϕ\phi satisfies σ(x)=σ(y)\sigma(x) = \sigma(y).

What this page needs for W2

  • edge defines in: at least one definition (0 of 1)
  • edge instance_of in: at least two examples (0 of 2)
  • edge not_instance_of in: at least one non-example (0 of 1)
