Sequences, series, summability Series: basic notions Example
1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + ⋯
Builds on Riemann zeta functionZeta function regularizationAbel summationCesàro summation
Example
The series has -th partial sum , which tends to . So it is a divergent series.
Remarks
The Cesàro means also tend to . For , , which tends to as , so the series is not Abel summable. Zeta function regularization assigns it the value . Indeed for , the series of the example is formally the case , and the analytic continuation of the Riemann zeta function has . No linear and stable method can give it a finite value : stability gives , which is impossible.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
