Acyclic object

Summary

For a left exact functor FF, an object XX is FF-acyclic if all the higher right derived functors RnF(X)R^n F(X) with n≥1n \ge 1 vanish. Injective objects are acyclic for every such FF, but many more objects are acyclic for a given FF. Derived functors can be computed with resolutions by FF-acyclic objects, which are often much easier to find than injective resolutions.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
