Atomless Boolean algebra
Builds on Boolean algebraAtom
Definition
Let be a Boolean algebra with order . An atom of is an element such that no satisfies . The algebra is atomless if it has no atoms, that is, for every in there is with .
Remarks
The one-element algebra, with , is atomless in a trivial way. Every other atomless Boolean algebra is infinite, since in a finite algebra with a minimal element of is an atom.
Example: let be the algebra of finite unions of half-open intervals with , together with , as subsets of . A nonzero contains some with ; then lies in and satisfies .
Non-example: the power set of a nonempty set is not atomless, since each singleton is an atom.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
