Carleson measure
Builds on Unit disc
Definition
Let be the open unit disc and the unit circle. For an arc of length , the Carleson box over is A positive Borel measure on is a Carleson measure if there is a constant such that
Remarks
Carleson's embedding theorem: for , is a Carleson measure if and only if there is with for all in the Hardy space .
Example: area measure on . In polar coordinates, . So is a Carleson measure with .
Non-example: let and , a finite measure. Let be the arc of length centred at . Then contains for all , so . The ratio is unbounded, so is not a Carleson measure.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
