Choquet capacity
Builds on Compact spaceHausdorff space
Definition
Let be a Hausdorff space, and let be the set of all subsets of . A Choquet capacity on is a map with the following properties.
- If , then .
- If are subsets of with union , then .
- If are compact subsets of with intersection , then .
A set is capacitable for if .
Remarks
Example: let be a finite Borel measure on and its outer measure, . Clause 1 is clear. Clause 2 holds because each has a Borel hull with , and the sets increase to a Borel hull of . Clause 3 is continuity from above of the finite measure . Non-example: on let if is infinite and otherwise. The finite sets increase to the infinite set , but along the sequence, so clause 2 fails. Choquet's capacitability theorem: if is a Polish space, every analytic subset of is capacitable for every Choquet capacity. Some authors allow values in or define capacities relative to a paving other than the compact sets.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
