Conformal gravity
Summary
Conformal gravity is a family of theories of gravity whose action is unchanged when the metric is multiplied by an arbitrary positive function. The main example in four dimensions is Weyl gravity, whose Lagrangian is the square of the Weyl tensor. Its field equations are of fourth order in the metric, unlike the second-order equations of general relativity. It is one of the alternatives to general relativity.
