Dedekind's problem
Builds on Dedekind number
Problem
For each integer , let be the Dedekind number, the number of monotone Boolean functions of variables. Find the value of for every , ideally by a closed formula.
Remarks
No closed formula of a practical kind is known, and the problem is open in this form. Exact values are known only for ; the value was computed in 2023 with large computer searches. Simple bounds come from antichains: every family of -element subsets of is an antichain, so . Kleitman proved that as , and finer asymptotic formulas are known.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
