Derived set

Summary

The derived set of a subset AA of a topological space is the set of all limit points of AA. It is written A′A'. The closure of AA is A∪A′A \cup A', and repeating the operation A↦A′A \mapsto A' leads to the Cantor–Bendixson analysis of closed sets.
