Dirichlet space

Summary

The Dirichlet space ๐’Ÿ\mathcal{D} is the Hilbert space of holomorphic functions ff on the unit disc whose derivative is square-integrable with respect to area. The Dirichlet integral โˆซ๐”ปโˆฃfโ€ฒโˆฃ2โ€‰dA\int_{\mathbb{D}} \abs{f'}^2 \, dA is the area of the image f(๐”ป)f(\mathbb{D}), counted with multiplicity. In terms of Taylor coefficients, f=โˆ‘anznf = \sum a_n z^n lies in ๐’Ÿ\mathcal{D} exactly when โˆ‘nโˆฃanโˆฃ2<โˆž\sum n \abs{a_n}^2 < \infty, so ๐’Ÿ\mathcal{D} is contained in the Hardy space H2H^2. It is a model space in operator theory and is linked to logarithmic capacity on the circle.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
