Discrete subgroup
Summary
A discrete subgroup of a topological group is a subgroup whose elements are isolated from each other. In a Hausdorff topological group, discrete subgroups are closed. A discrete subgroup of a Lie group acts properly discontinuously on each quotient with compact. The resulting quotient spaces are central objects of geometry and number theory. Lattices, Fuchsian groups, Kleinian groups and crystallographic groups are all discrete subgroups.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
