Dual matroid

Summary

The dual of a matroid MM is the matroid M∗M^* on the same ground set whose bases are the complements of the bases of MM. Duality is an involution, M∗∗=MM^{**} = M, and it exchanges deletion and contraction of minors. For a planar graph, the dual of its graphic matroid is the graphic matroid of the dual graph. So matroid duality extends planar graph duality to all matroids.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
