Dual operator

Summary

The dual operator of a bounded operator T ⁣:X→YT \colon X \to Y between normed spaces is the operator T′ ⁣:Y′→X′T' \colon Y' \to X' between the continuous dual spaces given by T′(f)=f∘TT'(f) = f \circ T. It is the analytic form of the dual map of linear algebra, also called the transpose or Banach space adjoint. Many properties of TT, such as having closed or dense range, can be read off from T′T'.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
