Esakia space
Definition
Let be a Priestley space. So is a compact topological space and is a partial order on . Also, for all with , there is a clopen up-set with and . For , write . The space is an Esakia space if is clopen for every clopen set .
Remarks
In a Priestley space, is always closed when is closed; the extra condition is that it is also open when is clopen. For clopen up-sets and of an Esakia space, the set is a clopen up-set, and it is the Heyting implication .
Example: a finite poset with the discrete topology. Every subset is clopen, so the separation condition holds with , and every down-set is clopen.
Non-example: let , where as in the one-point compactification of , and is an isolated point. Order by and no other strict relations. This is a Priestley space, but is clopen and is not open, since every neighbourhood of contains some .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
