Exponential of a bounded operator

Summary

The exponential of a bounded operator TT on a Banach space is the operator eT=∑n≥0Tn/n!e^T = \sum_{n \ge 0} T^n / n!. It extends the matrix exponential to infinite dimensions. The family t↦etTt \mapsto e^{tT} solves the linear differential equation x′=Txx' = Tx in the Banach space and is the simplest example of an operator semigroup.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
