Exponential type

Summary

An entire function is of exponential type if its modulus grows at most like eτ∣z∣e^{\tau \abs{z}} for some constant τ\tau. The least such τ\tau is the type of the function. Fourier and Laplace transforms of functions or measures with bounded support are of exponential type, and the Paley–Wiener theorem gives a converse. They are the natural setting of the Paley–Wiener theorem and of Carlson's theorem.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
