Functions of a complex variable Definition
Exponential type
Builds on Entire functionLimit superiorOrder of an entire function
Definition
Let be an entire function. The function is of exponential type if there are constants and such that In that case the type of is with , and is said to be of exponential type .
Remarks
Example: for all , and for , so is of exponential type with type . Non-example: has on the real line, and fails for large for every and . In terms of the order, is of exponential type exactly when its order is less than , or equal to with finite type. For , the type is ; for this gives . The notion is also used for functions holomorphic in a sector or a half-plane, with the bound required only there.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
