Functional completeness

Summary

A set of operations on a finite set AA is functionally complete if every finitary operation on AA can be built from it by composition. In other words, the clone it generates is the clone of all operations. For A={0,1}A = \set{0, 1} this is the familiar notion for sets of logical connectives, such as {∧,¬}\set{\wedge, \neg}. Criteria for functional completeness are given by Post's lattice in the two-valued case and by maximal clones in general.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
