Injective resolution
Definition
Let be an abelian category and let be an object of . An injective resolution of is a sequence of objects and morphisms such that:
- every is an injective object;
- the sequence is exact.
Remarks
Example: over , the sequence is an injective resolution of . It is exact, and and are divisible groups, which are injective modules over . Non-example: is exact, but is not an injective -module, since it is not divisible, so clause 1 fails. One writes the resolution as the cochain complex with the map ; then and for . If has enough injectives, every object has an injective resolution; this holds for modules over any ring, since every module embeds into an injective module.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
