Integral of a Hopf algebra

Summary

A left integral in a Hopf algebra HH is an element Λ\Lambda that absorbs left multiplication through the counit: hΛ=ε(h)Λh \Lambda = \varepsilon(h) \Lambda for all h∈Hh \in H. For a finite group algebra KGKG, the sum of all group elements is an integral. Integrals generalize averaging over a finite group and the Haar measure of a compact group. By the Larson–Sweedler theorem, the left integrals of a finite-dimensional Hopf algebra form a one-dimensional space. Such an HH is semisimple exactly when ε(Λ)≠0\varepsilon(\Lambda) \ne 0 for a nonzero left integral Λ\Lambda.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
