Classical thermodynamics, heat transfer Basic notions of thermodynamics Concept
Intensive and extensive properties
Summary
An extensive property of a system is proportional to its size, like volume, mass, internal energy or entropy. An intensive property does not depend on the size, like temperature, pressure or density. The distinction organises the state variables of thermodynamics and leads to pairs of conjugate variables.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
