Interpolation space
Summary
Let and be two Banach spaces that sit in a common space. An interpolation space for them is a Banach space between them with this property. Every linear map bounded on both and is bounded on it too. The model case is the Riesz–Thorin theorem. It says that the Lp spaces with between and are interpolation spaces for and . The real method of Lions and Peetre and the complex method of Calderón build interpolation spaces in general. Interpolation gives bounds for operators such as the Fourier transform and singular integrals, and it defines fractional Sobolev spaces.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
