Inverse of the inverse of a matrix

Builds on Invertible matrix

Statement

Let AA be an n×nn \times n invertible matrix with inverse BB. Then BB is also invertible, and its inverse is AA. In symbols, (A−1)−1=A(A^{-1})^{-1} = A.

Remarks

The proof is one line. Since BB is the inverse of AA, we have AB=BA=IAB = BA = I. These two equations say exactly that AA is an inverse of BB. By uniqueness of inverses, AA is the inverse of BB.
