Invertible module

Summary

An invertible module over a commutative ring RR is a module MM that has an inverse for the tensor product: some module NN with M⊗RN≅RM \otimes_R N \cong R. The invertible modules are exactly the finitely generated projective modules of constant rank 11. Their isomorphism classes form the Picard group of RR. They are the algebraic form of line bundles, and of invertible sheaves on the affine scheme Spec R\mathrm{Spec}\, R.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
