Köthe–Toeplitz dual

Summary

The Köthe–Toeplitz duals of a sequence space XX are the sequence spaces of multipliers aa for which ∑anxn\sum a_n x_n behaves well for every xx in XX. The α\alpha-dual asks for absolute convergence of ∑anxn\sum a_n x_n, and the β\beta-dual asks for convergence. They play the role of a dual space that is again a space of sequences, without any topology. For example, the β\beta-dual of ℓ1\ell^1 is ℓ∞\ell^\infty, which matches the dual space of ℓ1\ell^1 in functional analysis.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
