Definition
A Kripke frame is a pair of a nonempty set of worlds and a binary relation on , the accessibility relation. A Kripke model is a triple where maps each propositional variable to a subset of , an element of the power set. Truth of a modal formula at a world is defined by induction.
- if and only if , and .
- The connectives , , and are evaluated at as in classical logic.
- if and only if for every with .
A formula is valid on the frame when it is true at every world of every model .
Remarks
Then if and only if some with has .
Example: on any frame, the axiom is valid. At a world where and hold, every with satisfies and , hence .
Non-example: is not valid on the frame . With , the formula holds at because no world is accessible, while fails at .
The formulas valid on all frames form the logic . The formulas valid on all reflexive frames form , and those valid on all reflexive and transitive frames form .
For intuitionistic logic, the relation is a preorder, is closed upward, and holds at when holds at every where holds.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
