Krull dimension of a poset

Summary

The Krull dimension of a partially ordered set is the supremum of the lengths of its finite chains. Here a chain with n+1n + 1 elements has length nn. It generalizes the Krull dimension of a commutative ring, which is the Krull dimension of the set of prime ideals ordered by inclusion. For a nonempty finite poset it is one less than the height counted in elements.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
