LF-space

Summary

An LF-space is a locally convex space obtained as the inductive limit of an increasing sequence of Fréchet spaces. The letters stand for "limit of Fréchet spaces". The main example is the space Cc∞(Ω)C_c^\infty(\Omega) of test functions on an open set Ω⊆ℝd\Omega \subseteq \R^d. It is the union, over compact sets K⊆ΩK \subseteq \Omega, of the Fréchet spaces of smooth functions supported in KK. Its dual is the space of distributions. LF-spaces are barrelled and bornological, although they are usually not metrizable.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
