Definition
A measure algebra is a pair such that:
- is a Boolean algebra in which every countable subset has a supremum.
- satisfies .
- for every sequence of pairwise disjoint elements, that is, for .
- for every .
Remarks
Example: let be a measure space and . Call equivalent when . The classes form a Boolean algebra with countable suprema given by countable unions, and is well defined. Clauses 2 and 3 come from the measure , and clause 4 holds since means .
Non-example: the sigma-algebra of Borel subsets of with Lebesgue measure satisfies clauses 1 to 3 but not 4. The set is a nonzero element of measure .
The quotient in the example is called the measure algebra of .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
