Definition
Let be a measure space. An atom of is a set with such that for every with , either or . The measure is non-atomic, or atomless, if it has no atoms.
Remarks
Lebesgue measure on is non-atomic. If , the function is continuous and increases from to . So there is with such that and . The Dirac measure is not non-atomic, since is an atom: its only measurable subsets are and . Some authors define an atom by the condition that every measurable has or . For sets of finite measure the two conditions agree.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
