Nörlund mean

Summary

A Nörlund mean is a weighted average of the first terms of a sequence. Its weights are read backwards from a fixed sequence p0,p1,p2,…p_0, p_1, p_2, \dots. It defines a summability method for sequences and, through partial sums, for series. With all weights equal to 11 it is the Cesàro mean. The method gives the usual limit to every convergent sequence exactly when pnp_n is small compared with p0+⋯+pnp_0 + \cdots + p_n.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
