Outer regular measure
Builds on Borel measureOpen set
Definition
Let be a topological space and let be a Borel measure on . A Borel set is outer regular for if The measure is outer regular if every Borel set is outer regular for .
Remarks
Every open set is outer regular, by taking .
Example: Lebesgue measure on the Borel sets of is outer regular. For a Borel set and , the outer measure construction gives intervals covering with . Enlarging each slightly to an open interval gives an open with .
Non-example: counting measure on is not outer regular. The set has , but every open set containing is infinite and has measure .

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
