Parastatistics

Summary

Parastatistics is a family of possible exchange statistics for identical particles that generalizes Bose and Fermi statistics. It was introduced by H. S. Green in 1953 through trilinear commutation relations for creation and annihilation operators. Each paraboson or parafermion field has an integer order p≥1p \ge 1, and order 11 gives ordinary bosons or fermions. For parafermions of order pp, at most pp particles can occupy the same state.
