Péclet number
Summary
The Péclet number is the dimensionless number that compares transport by the flow with transport by diffusion. It appears when the advection–diffusion equation is written in dimensionless form. When it is large, the flow carries heat or solute much faster than diffusion spreads it, and thin diffusive layers form. When it is small, diffusion dominates and the flow hardly matters.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
