Positive-definite kernel

Summary

A positive-definite kernel on a set XX is a function K ⁣:X×X→ℂK \colon X \times X \to \C with the following property. Every matrix (K(xi,xj))i,j\big(K(x_i, x_j)\big)_{i,j} built from finitely many points of XX is positive semidefinite. It generalises positive semidefinite matrices from finite index sets to arbitrary sets. Each positive-definite kernel is the reproducing kernel of a unique reproducing kernel Hilbert space, and conversely. On a group, the kernels K(g,h)=φ(g−1h)K(g, h) = \varphi(g^{-1}h) that are positive-definite are those given by positive-definite functions φ\varphi.

What this page needs for W1

  • an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
  • a source with a locator (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
