Quasi-Frobenius ring
Builds on RingNoetherian moduleSelf-injective ring
Definition
Let be a ring with identity. The ring is quasi-Frobenius if:
- is left Noetherian, that is, is a Noetherian module as a left module over itself;
- is left self-injective.
Remarks
The definition is left-right symmetric: a ring satisfying the two clauses is also right Noetherian and right self-injective, and it is left and right Artinian. Example: for . It is finite, so clause 1 holds, and it is self-injective by Baer's criterion, so clause 2 holds. Non-example: is Noetherian but not self-injective, since the map , , does not extend to ; clause 2 fails. Non-example: over a field is Artinian, hence Noetherian, but not self-injective, so clause 2 fails. Equivalent forms: is quasi-Frobenius if and only if every projective left -module is injective, if and only if every injective left -module is projective. Every Frobenius algebra is quasi-Frobenius.

- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)

The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
