Definition
A regularity structure is a triple such that:
- is an index set that is bounded below, locally finite, and contains .
- is a graded vector space, each is a Banach space, and is spanned by an element written .
- is a group of continuous linear maps such that for all , and , and .
The set is the set of homogeneities, is the model space, and is the structure group.
Remarks
Example: the polynomial regularity structure on . Take , let be the space of homogeneous polynomials of degree in abstract variables , and let with . The check: contains and is locally finite, is spanned by the constant , , and has only terms of degree less than . Non-example: adding the scaling to breaks clause 3, since it sends to and has degree , not less than . To use a structure one adds a model, which realises each symbol as a concrete distribution near each point. The reconstruction theorem then turns local expansions into a global distribution.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
