Satake diagram

Summary

A Satake diagram is the Dynkin diagram of a complex semisimple Lie algebra decorated to describe one of its real forms. Some vertices are painted black, and some pairs of white vertices are joined by double-headed arrows. Satake diagrams classify the real semisimple Lie algebras up to isomorphism, and they also show the restricted root system of the real form.
