Schreier coset graph

Summary

Let GG be a group, HH a subgroup and SS a set of elements of GG. The Schreier coset graph is a directed graph whose vertices are the right cosets of HH, with an edge labelled ss from HgHg to HgsHgs. For H={1}H = \set{1} it is the Cayley graph of GG with respect to SS. It shows how the generators permute the cosets of HH. It is used in coset enumeration and to find generators of subgroups, as in the Reidemeister–Schreier method.
