Schreier coset graph
Builds on GroupSubgroupRight cosetDirected graph
Definition
Let be a group, let be a subgroup of , and let be a subset of . The Schreier coset graph of is the directed graph with labelled edges such that:
- its vertices are the right cosets of in ;
- for each vertex and each , there is one edge with label from to .
Remarks
The rule is well defined: if , then for some , so . The number of vertices is the index of in , and every vertex has exactly one outgoing edge with each label. If generates , the graph is connected. For it is the Cayley graph of with respect to .
Example: let , and . The vertices are , and , and the edges go , since adding moves each coset to the next one. The graph is a directed cycle of length .
Non-example: the rule with left cosets and edges is not well defined in general. In , with composition from right to left, take and . Then , but and are different cosets.

What this page needs for W1
- an inventory row: the row of the inventory that the node accounts for (0 of 1)
- a source with a locator (0 of 1)
The writing levels say how complete the text of a page is. They do not measure its truth.
